Marketplace
Where players go to purchase resources using Production Dice.
-
Players will be purchasing resources here such as Tech, Cosmic Powers, and Drafts by using their two Production Dice they roll ahead of time. They decide where to place their dice, and the number of the dice dictate which resource they gain.
-
Production Dice get rolled and then used to purchase resources at the marketplace. The number of the die will align with what resource they get when placed in a certain section on the marketplace board.
-
Players can purchase tech in the form of Ship Augment Cards which cost “X” amount of Scraps depending on where the card is placed that they want to buy. Cards move along the conveyor belt each turn. Cosmic Power Cards work the same way but cost Cosmic Dust instead.
-
There are 3 types of Drafts. Mandates, Satellites, and Civ Tech. Using Production dice will allow the player to purchase these, but they will still need to spend the appropriate type of currency to purchase one of the 3. Either 2 Fuel, 2 Scraps or 2 Cosmic Dust.
Player Gates & Production
-
To activate a certain colored gate, players will need to place a matching colored Production Die on one of the empty slots. They draft this die from the marketplace. Once a die is placed, that colored gate is open meaning any Draft placed there can be used, or activated.
-
There are 3 types of Drafts. (Mandates, Satellites and Civ Tech). Once purchased and placed under the matching Gate color, it can be used or activated so long as that gate is open with a Production Die. Some Drafts have an additional cost in order to be used. Mandates are contracts with conditions that need to be met in order to gain the benefit. Satellites are tech that get placed on the main board and can effect other player ships. Civ Tech are special abilities or tech that increases the amount of functionality a player can have on their turn.
-
Players on their turn will eventually enter into their “Production Phase” which requires them to take any number of their Production Dice from their Gates section and place it on any empty slot on the Production board. Doing this will allow them to produce more resources, convert resources, etc.
-
Here is where players upgrade their ship by placing Ship Augment Cards on any empty slot. This boosts their ship’s performance and functionality.
-
The Civ-Type Level Tracker tracks a player’s ranking of what level of Civilization they are. Doing certain things in the game will move their tracker down thus gaining mini benefits but overall slowly increasing their Civ-Type level going from 0-3. Once at type 3, they can enter Uranus to terraform it and to try and win the game.
Movement Cards
-
Single Movement cards are either Cardinal, Color or Wild Movement. Cardinal means to move once in that direction. Color means to move once towards that color. and Wild movements you roll a multi-colored die to determine what color you move once towards.
-
Double Movement Cards are either Cardinal or Color Movement. Either moving two times towards 1-2 different colors, or moving twice in 1-2 different directions.
-
Color Split & Cardinal Split Cards are similar to Double Movement cards, except you can only chose 1 option/1 movement. Either move to 1 color or the other. Or move in one direction or the other.
Cosmic Power Cards
-
These cards are passive abilities that stay equipped in play on a player’s bench/tableau.
-
Terra Tech is only accessible once a player reaches Type 3 Civilization status and is successfully on Uranus.
Ship Augment Cards
-
These Augment cards are a form of Tech and upgrade your ship. Each card is a different type of technology that will give your ship a different form of functionality that other players may not have at that moment. Thrusters, Fuel Packs and Landing Gear are just a few cool and unique augment cards.
-
Players can level up their augments by meeting certain requirements. Leveling up a Ship Augment Card just makes the tech that much more powerful for your ship.
