Become a fitness trainer within Kanto!
Using actual Pokemon Cards and Gym Badges help create an immersive journey of catching and collecting, showing off your progress!
In this fun workout adventure you will be walking and running along routes connecting to each town, battling various trainers by performing accessory lifts, and of course going up against the Gym Leaders which equate to your main lifts for that day. Every step of the way you’ll be capturing Pokemon by throwing a medicine ball numerous times to increase the chance of a successful catch. Using actual Pokemon Cards will help track the Pokemon you have caught. Completing the Pokedex is half the journey… while the other half is making sure you survive Kanto and defeat the Elite 4 to become the fitness champion!
This workout regime is a 4 day split. 4 days of working out and 3 rest days. However, if you want to include the “Optional Day” challenges, you can do those on your rest days to try and 100% complete the whole map and capture every pokemon.
HOW TO NAVIGATE
Every day you will start at the blue starting position in town. Here you can take on Quest 1 and Quest 2 in any order. These quests are always a “Stretch” and a “Warm Up” quest. Afterwards, rest up at the PokeCenter, and then tackle that town’s Gym which is your main compound lifts for the day. After completing each workout/defeating that Pokemon, take the Pokemon Card and place it in your Pokedex! Receive the gym badge and then move onto clearing the upcoming route.
Each route will take you to the next town which is where you will start the next day. Along a route, various forms of cardio will take place like running, walking, jogging and high knee kicks, which will be indicated by the color of the path. Random Encounters will appear in tall grassy areas which are represented by the “blue die” icon. Flip over a Pokemon card from the deck and then roll one D6 die to determine what you have to do to weaken the pokemon for capture. After performing that workout, toss a medicine ball in the air. For common Pokemon, toss it 4 times. 6 times for Uncommon and 8 times for a Rare!
Purple Triangle symbols along the path are Trainers to battle. This is where you will complete your 3 accessory lifts for the day. Look at the list to see which work out you will have to do facing which trainer. Once you reach the end, your workout is finished for the day!
Optional Days/Challenges
These Optional Day challenges listed below fill in for any rest day you may want to swap out for, with the goal of completing the Pokedex and conquering every square inch of Kanto! They have a question mark next to the “Day” part in the pokeball symbols on the top corners because ideally you can place these optional workout days before or after the main day challenge that connects to the same route listed on the grand map of Kanto. For guidance, simply look up a map of Kanto online to see where any one of these Optional Day challenges fit on your workout path.
Within these challenges, you’ll come across Pokemon you won’t find within the main days and certain Items that you may need to gain access to pars of Kanto going forward. Some of these Optional Days grant items that give access to other Optional Days that come later down the road.
Post Game Challenge
These Post Game Challenges ain’t for the weak! After completing the Kanto journey and defeating the Elite 4, you can take on these new and exciting challenges if you’re feeling motivated to still do more within the Kanto Workout Journey.
The Battle Tower is an intense 1 week long workout challenge consisting of 6 day split with just 1 rest day. Complete each floor’s challenge to move up to the next floor and make it through the day. There’s 10 floors for each day with a total of 50 floors for 5 days of pure fitness! After that take on the ultimate Champion of the Battle Tower!
